I walked into to this class, Art and Society , expecting this class to be another class where we'd sit and learn facts but it was different. This class taught me to look around me the places i see the environment i'm in as art. Learning that art isn't  simply paintings , that in art theirs sculptures, monuments, interpretive art involving people  pointing at society's faults and beauty. I made friends and i hope we keep in contact and hang out cause it was a blast being around them even if i was the fly on the wall. Even creating the final project taking what we learned and being creative making monuments ,a 3d representation .  The museum trips were fun Brooklyn,The Met,The new Museum ,and a couple of galleries . My Two favorite museum visits were The New Museum ,and Brooklyn. In the New Museum abstract ,interactive ,and short film work was considered art and it was interesting. Even the stairwell to each floor meant a different sound or song which was awesome.The Brooklyn museum was the first museum i've been to in awhile and it was nice to actually experience culture other than watching T.v.  If Anyone wants to keep in touch after this class Just look me up on facebook .
