Blog Post #10

Out of all of my classes, this one was definitely my favorite. I have definitely learned plenty of things. At first when I looked at art I wouldn’t really consider it as art, but after learning different terms, and going more into the different elements of art, I have learned to look at art through a different perspective. You start to realize that every single thing around you is practically art. Everywhere I go and see something unusual, even something silly like a stain on the sidewalk or some random object lying around, I think of it in a creative way. And I’ve dragged that “skill” along with me through all the places visited in class as well. I’ve enjoyed all of the trips we had the MET falling in second place, but I think that my favorite trip of this semester was most likely the most recent one going to the high line and some galleries around Chelsea. There was one gallery in particular where it was in complete darkness, and had certain objects like books covered in neon lights. I enjoyed “exploring around”, I’ve actually even started to visit more places around the city to try and find some cool things. This class has taught me a lot and it was also fun, it always kept me involved and interested sue to the fact that it actually involved using our creativity. So I’d like to thank Professor Elsayed and the class for making this semester, and class a blast.

Aaaand here are some pictures from the trip
