The topic of this is Child Neglect. I picked this as a topic because I am disgusted with parents who pay no attention to their children, and the children are label as misbehaved when all they want is attention. The auidience of this is obviously directed towards parents, not age specific. The idea of this would be to inform parents to put down their phones or to not use the tv as a babysitter, and play with their kids or do some sort of activity. When kids are neglected they either act out, because even negative attention is better than no attention in their minds, they just want to know that they matter. Also, kids without proper care could possibly not have the opportunity to reach their full potential. The idea I have for this would be some sort of poster/billboard, obviously not going to make a billboard in class. The pisture would show a parent sitting on ther ass, playing with their phone with the child on the floor playing alone with a depressed face, and a phrase thats states "Is your phone more important than his/her happiness"... or something along those lines. I do not think one would be enough, I think there would need to be a series of these, all different, and in different areas. Ideal place for this would be nears schools, daycares, subways, buses and cabs. I think this should be in black and white or maybe a blue tint to add a sad, depressing effect.
Good idea Chris- I like the idea of a billboard campaign that can be placed in many locations. I think the next step would be to come up with one or two models that you (in theory) would have printed as billboards.
