Above is a picture of art that is in the hallway of my house and its actually my favorite one. This would fall into the category of a "painting". The colors used are deep reds, blues and greens. Whenever i look at the painting it makes me look at elephants in a different way. The artist took something that was semi-ordinary and turned into something extraordinary. The painting is actually mirrored its the same on the left side as it is on the right side. The artist is symbolizing that we are all one and we are the same. I personally see art wherever i go but my favorite place to see it is in manhattan. Every street corner you turn theres either a sculpture or graffiti. I prefer street art because i believe its more real and more expressive. Art is about being true to who you are not to who society tells you to be.
How nice that you have original art in your house, Kiara. Could you have said a little more about the "need" or "function" of this artwork in relation to what we discussed in class? You need to explain your ideas more, and remember that weekly blog posts are a minimum of 250 words. This seems very rushed and doesn't fulfill the assignment criteria.
